Welcome to the Opening of this Blog
For awhile, I have been thinking of starting up some sort of blog to write about and explore my hobbies. I love video games, anime, and reading.
But I didn't want to my site to be like every other page out there. I remember last December I was researching the iPad Pro, and if I should get one. Some online articles were better than others, but many times these articles regurgitated the same information that was on Apple's main website. I read dozens of articles, but I did not see dozens of different perspectives.
This blog will not be like that. This blog will contain my perspectives and reviews on various video games and products. In addition, I want this blog to be a place where people of various technical skill levels can gather. I think it is important to teach people to get better with their technical proficiency. It is part of the reason I have an iOS for the Clueless section on the site. I believe mobile games are a good gateway to better games.
For Video Games: I don't intend to report that a video game is coming out. Many times video game websites use this to generate news, but never go further than using the main source. I think this is better left to social media. If I do have release news, I will make sure to also give some other useful information alongside it. When I review video games, I won't really give "scores". I will state what it did well, and what it can improve. I will also note the difficulty of the game and point out anything else noteworthy for that game.
I also love to give tips on how to improve the in-game experience. Anytime I can make a game more accessible or easy for others, I will do my best to write about that as well.
For Product Reviews: I will purposely omit dimensions (since this is commonly on the source website). Instead, I will give real-world examples of abilities or functionality in a way people can better understand.
As a general note: Even though Squarespace is easy to use, it has taken a tremendous amount of effort and research to get this site set up. I have had a hard time getting up as many posts as I would like, and I am aware there is not that much to read. I also would have liked to be able to edit my posts and get better images for some of them too. Hopefully when this site goes live, I will be able to focus more on content. And yes, I intend to fix the image on the main page as soon as possible; I know it isn't that good. Thank you for your understanding; between working full time and starting this up there has been a lot of ground to cover.
Please leave a comment for any general suggestions, or to just say "hi!"
Again, welcome and thank you for reading!
