Gardening Event Tips for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
Here it is again, time to catch those bugs in your garden for limited time items!
...Except your friends are giving you the wrong bugs or you don’t have time for this event.
What should you do?
Stock Up on Flower Food
It is routine for flowers from the event to be available for trade in exchange for Flower Food.
This ability is essential to completing the event when you don’t have time to check and catch every three hours.
No Time? No Problem!
Just grow and harvest what you can, and when it is the evening or weekends, focus on growing new plants.
Just pick a spot and:
- Plant the flower
- Feed it Flower Food
- Capture a bug (if one appears)
- Harvest
- Repeat.
This is a good tactic to get that bug count up in your own time. From experience I would say this will at least allow you to complete the first half of the event comfortably.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE COLOR OF FLOWERS WHEN SHARING!
I cannot stress this enough. Many times I have a certain color flower in my garden (to show I need the corresponding bug) and yet I get a bunch of bugs I don’t need.
DON’T BE THIS FRIEND. You get money at the end of the event anyway for all bugs in your inventory. There is no need to feel the need to get rid of them.
Put in another way, when you visit friends look at the flowers and ask yourself what color bug this plant would attract. Only place that type of bug on the plants. This way, you ensure you are not giving unneeded bugs. This article is old, but it covers player etiquette and has a useful FAQ for beginners if you need more guidance.
Someone Gave Me Bugs I Don't Need...
And if someone gives you unneeded bugs anyway? Feel free to look at their information and block them. I do this for most people who share un-needed bugs unless they explicitly ask for help with trading. This tactic may seem a little harsh, but many times there is no other way to let someone know they aren't being helpful.
Otherwise, do your best and have fun!
