Logitech K380 Bluetooth Keyboard Review

Overview

The Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard is a compact and travel-ready keyboard.

As seen here, the keyboard is shorter than an iPhone 7. It is slightly longer than an iPad Pro (10.5 inch).

Initial setup is easy. Just press and hold one of the three pairing buttons until the light above it starts flashing. Go to the device you want to pair with and find the Bluetooth options. Choose this device from the list. (Just make sure to remove the plastic tag first, the batteries will not function without it being removed first.)

Features

Bluetooth keyboards in general help to clean up a workspace and eliminate cords. The Logitech K380 goes beyond this by providing these additional features:

Three Device Memory

It has the handy ability to remember up to three devices and switch between them with nothing more than a single button press.

This image shows how to pair. Once paired, just a light button press is all that would be needed to change what device this keyboard will type on.

This three-button memory ability is great for people who have multiple devices at their workstations, or for a travel keyboard that needs to sync with many different devices.

Small Keyboard

This is a small keyboard. If you have large male hands this may not be comfortable as a primary keyboard. However, if you have small hands this keyboard might be more comfortable than most of the others out there.

As a comparison, this keyboard is much like Apple’s Bluetooth keyboard. If you are used to this small keyboard, the Logitech K380 isn’t much of a leap.

Bold Colors Available

It is good to know Logitech provided many color options for this model. There is a standard grey that would be non-assuming for an office/public space.

Then there is a blue model, for those who like the color or want a bit more style than pure black/grey.

Then there is the magenta and orange options. These have great style, and are also beneficial for a travel device. After all, with either of these colors this keyboard is likely to not be forgotten or left behind somewhere.

Shown are the pink and orange options. They are very bold and sleek.

AAA Batteries

There are a few things that are done with this model to make the batteries user friendly. First, it uses AAA, so there are no weird batteries to find for this or cords to carry.

In addition, the Logitech K380 has an on/off switch. This ensures the battery will not be accidentally drained if something is placed on it or it is in transit.

There is an overall on/off switch for the entire device to ensure the battery doesn't get drained in transit.

Final Thoughts

I have been using this keyboard for quite awhile with my MacBook Air (for when it is hooked up to a monitor), for my iPad Pro, and for my Apple TV. So far it has been fantastic and effortlessly hooks up to any of these devices without losing connection or needing to be re-paired.

The color options are a large plus, and since I have small hands, the size is not an issue for me at all.

All in all, I recommend this keyboard whole heartedly for anyone looking to add a Bluetooth keyboard to their life.

Where Can I Buy This?

Staples and other office stores typically have the grey option available at the retail price of $39.99.

However, Amazon does have a better price and color options:

As always, thanks to Logitech for creating this great product. It is extremely important for writers to have keyboard options, and this is multi functional in a variety of ways! I was not sponsored for this review and I make no money off of posting this. Feel free to leave comments or suggestions for improvement, and thank you!
